Isoben Lotion: Each gram lotion contains Benzalkonium Chloride USP 1 mg, Chlorhexidine Hydrochloride BP 1 mg, Liquid Paraffin BP 25 mg, Isopropyl Myristate BP 25 mg.
Description
Isoben Lotion is a multiple combination lotion which exhibits antimicrobial and properties to control dry skin problem. Benzalkonium chloride and chlorhexidine dihydrochloride are antimicrobials. They help to combat bacteria present on the skin that can make eczema worse and prevent the infection caused by scratching itchy skin. Liquid paraffin and isopropyl myristate are emollients that help to soften, moisturize and protect the skin by trapping moisture in the skin and restoring the normal protective function of the skin.
Indications
Isoben Lotion is indicated in the treatment and prevention of dry and itchy (pruritic) skin conditions, especially eczema and dermatitis.
Dosage & Administration
Apply the lotion to the affected areas and rub gently into the skin. Ideally, Isoben Lotion should be applied three or four times a day. All age groups can use Isoben Lotion, including babies.
Side Effects
In some very rare cases, it can cause local skin reactions (involving redness, irritation and/or itching). Use of this lotion should be discontinued if the skin condition seems to look or feel worse.
Precautions
Do not swallow. For external use only.
Use in Pregnancy & Lactation
There are no restriction on the use during pregnancy or lactation.
Drug Interaction
This product is not known to affect, or to be affected by, other medicines.
Storage
Do not store above 30°C. Keep away from light and out of the reach of children.
